Friday, February 2nd is National Wear Red Day supporting heart health. CTE would love to see as many students and staff wearing red on Friday as possible. Support heart health in our school and our community.
It is that time of year at CTE to educate our students and community about heart health. We at CTE, will be having our 2nd annual THE HEART CHALLENGE AT C.T.E. on February 26th. During this event our students will be learning about how to keep their own hearts healthy and also be challenged to collect donations and in return will be earning prizes along the way.
Our goal is to raise $12,000 and donate a large portion of that money DIRECTLY to the AdventHealth Parker Hospital’s Cardiac Unit. The money will go towards paying for LOCAL PARKER patients to have CT scans on their heart and even help pay for their physical therapy to aid in heart related recovery. The remainder of the funds collected will go towards CTE’s Specials classes; Music, Art, PE, STEAM, Library and Wellness. We will buy books for the library, new materials for music, wellness, art and STEAM. What a WIn-Win!
THE BIG KICKOFF ASSEMBLY
Our event will begin with a kick off assembly on February 8th at 9am. At the assembly, students will learn about where their donations are going and how their fundraising can help our local Parker Hospital patients. Some of the funds raised will stay at CTE to help fund our specials programs.
Donations can be made from February 8 to February 26th through MySchoolBucks, cash or check made out to CTE or directly on the AdventHeath Parker Hospital’s CTE Hearth Challenge page.
This year’s prize structure has changed so that more students earn more prizes. See the attached prize structure to see what your child will earn.
